December Corn CBOT Review - 10/15/07
December corn on the CBOT settled 11 cents higher today to $3.62 per bushel. Majority of the rally was due to the substantial gain in crude oil prices. In the afternoon, the USDA released its weekly crop progress report announcing that 53% of the U.S. corn crop has been harvested which met analyst expectations. However, rainy conditions are expected in the Midwest over the next several days which may delay harvest activity.
